PHOTOGRAPHIC
POETRY

The most remarkable feature of this set of photographic pieces is the encapsulation of a raw, peaceful, almost feral everyday life, at the precise moment of a singular luminosity. Within this series, photographs reappear, previously presented in monochrome, in TIMELESS TRANSLATION, now in the formidable splendor of rustic and emphatic colors.

Stalking the dialogue of shadow with light, is the work of the camera of MARIO MEDINA, the result is a set of pieces where the natural habitats correspond to their inhabitants, establishing relationship vessels through a colorful and static framed intensity. The photographer captures landscapes in the episodic tones of a nature that has been fixed by the shutter; for example, in Puntos de Fuga II, the author gathers in his lens all the dialects of seasonal green.

The punctum of each shot, that is, the hook that captures our silent observation, lies in its chromatic proposal and in the distribution of that same colorimetry in each frame. The color is as clear or reappears more vivid than the portrayed humans, this characteristic gives depth to the glimpse of the primitive that the sum of the images suggest. The Mexican photographer ratifies himself as an embalmer of sublime colors, the photographed piece proposes itself in front of the viewer, as the duplicated hallucination of its author.
